Team members receive a presentation on the latest in rescue dive equipment

Dive Team members at Fire Station 49 take a look at the latest public safety dive equipment available.  "Updating our program to meet NFPA standards and the training demands of public safety dive training is a priority.  The team will be in need of the latest personal protective equipment available on the market" states Dave Bender, dive team training coordinator.  

"It's important to not only increase the level of protection for our team members but have modern equipment that allows us to operate effectively and effectively.  The equipment we have been using is for the most part is recreational equipment.  What we are looking at is equipment designed to meet the needs of technical rescue and recovery work ."  Bender continues.
